The DC Film Alliance (DCFA) serves and strengthens the media arts in the greater Washington DC region by bringing together filmmakers and the public to participate in diverse film, video, television, and multimedia events.

DC Film Salon Live

A monthly networking opportunity for film and video professionals. Every month, a speaker will conduct a quick talk, followed by a moderated Q&A session. At the end of the evening, we will screen works in progress, short films and dailies.

DC Film Salon is ALWAYS FREE to attend. However, your RSVP helps us with planning — please let us know you are coming.

If you wish to submit a short film or clip (under 10 minutes), please email Ben Krieger no more than a month before the event. We will screen the first appropriate materials received.

Live Screenplay Reading
Filmmakers and writers are encouraged to send their short film script or 10 pages of a feature script for review. Four will be preselected and cast for a live reading. Professional and audience feedback is encouraged to help focus and edit the scripts for future production. If you are interested in submitting a screenplay for consideration, email andrea@dcfilm.org no later than May 15.
